Technip

Titanium Gr.1, 2, 3 & 4

Technip EST Pvt. Ltd. utilizes Titanium Grades 1, 2, 3, and 4 to engineer advanced process equipment for critical applications where corrosion resistance, weight savings, and durability are paramount.

Titanium Grade 1

  • Properties: Softest, most ductile, and easiest to form or weld; shows outstanding corrosion resistance and impact toughness.

  • Applications: Ideal for heat exchangers, tubing, and chemical process vessels in marine, desalination, and harsh chemical environments where both formability and resistance to aggressive media are crucial.

Titanium Grade 2

  • Properties: Offers the most balanced combination of strength, ductility, and corrosion resistance, and is the most widely used pure titanium grade for industrial equipment.

  • Applications: Used extensively in pipelines, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and power generation equipment, including pipelines for chemical, marine, aerospace, and pulp & paper plants.

Titanium Grade 3

  • Properties: Higher strength than Grades 1 and 2, with good corrosion resistance and moderate ductility; suitable where extra durability is needed.

  • Applications: Used for equipment and structures needing greater mechanical strength while maintaining chemical resistance—such as components for aerospace, chemical plants, and desalination.

Titanium Grade 4

  • Properties: The strongest of the commercially pure grades, offering excellent resistance to erosion and corrosion, though slightly less formable than Grades 1–3.

  • Applications: Preferred for high-stress, critical parts in the chemical or marine sectors that face highly corrosive and abrasive conditions, such as condenser tubing and pressure vessels.

Technip’s Engineering Approach

Each titanium grade is carefully matched to the process demands, whether ease of fabrication, mechanical strength, or extreme corrosion resistance. With these grades, Technip EST Pvt. Ltd. delivers reliable, long-lasting, and low-maintenance process solutions for industries ranging from chemicals and power to marine and environmental technology.
