Technip

Degassing System

Technip Degassing System offers highly efficient removal of dissolved gases mainly Ammonia, H2S, CO2 and volatile organics from waste water, process condensate, and effluent streams. The system ensures optimal downstream performance for ZLD & MEE Plant.

System Features and Process

  • Vacuum Degassing Technology: Water or process liquid is distributed downward through a packed tower operating under vacuum, which maximizes vapor–liquid contact and drives the transfer of dissolved gases from liquid to vapor for effective removal. Dual-stage configurations with sequential vacuum towers achieve ultra-low gas concentrations, ideal for sensitive process applications.

  • Integrated Air/CO2/Volatile Removal: The system effectively strips out oxygen, carbon dioxide, and volatile compounds, utilizing vacuum, air sparging, or optional chemical scavengers to enhance gas removal as required.

  • Automated Control: Advanced monitoring systems automatically regulate vacuum levels, liquid distribution, and residence time—ensuring consistent degassing performance with minimal operator supervision.

Advantages and Value

  • Improved Downstream Protection: Its prevent foaming & scaling in the MEE & ZLD Plant due non-condensable gases and volatiles components.

  • Optimized Process Efficiency: Reduces energy losses, prevents gas-related operational issues and improve efficiency of MEE & ZLD System.

  • Flexible, Scalable Designs: Available in single or multi-stage configurations, combining under vacuum system suitable for new or retrofit installations for MEE & ZLD Plant.

Applications

The system is widely used across various industries, including:

  • Molasses & Grain Based Distilleries
  • Molasses based Yeast Manufacturing Plants.
  • Chemical and Agro-Chemical Industries
  • Common Effluent Treatment Plants (CETPs)
  • Landfill Leachate Treatment Facilities
