Low Temperature Water Vapour Generator (LTWVG) based MEE Plant

The LTWVG-based Multi Effect Evaporation (MEE) Plant is our proven and advanced technology for indirect-heating evaporation system designed to enhance efficiency for high TDS effluent and minimize scaling challenges.

In this system, motive steam or hot thermic fluid is supplied to the shell side of the LTWVG, while soft water is circulated through the tube side. This generates low-temperature, low-pressure water vapor, which is then used as the heating source for the first effect of the MEE Plant.

Unlike conventional systems where motive steam or hot thermic fluid is directly introduced into the calandria shell side, LTWVG avoids excessive temperature differentials (ΔT) between the heating medium and effluent. As a result:

  • The first effect calandria is protected from heavy scaling.
  • Localized salt precipitation inside the tubes is avoided.
  • The plant performance remains stable over extended operations.
  • LTWVG based MEE plant has turndown capacity upto 50% without any single change in the equipment’s and piping of entire MEE plant.
  • LTWVG based MEE plant is most suitable for high TDS effluent from 10% to 20% w/w TS range feed to first effect calandria.
  • Pure Steam Condensate goes back to the boiler without any preheating and pretreatment requirement which reduce your daily fresh water consumption and boiler feed water pretreatment cost saving.

With the LTWVG-based MEE system, even high TDS effluent can be concentrated efficiently without reduction in feed capacity over time, as the risks of scaling, choking, and localized salt deposition inside calandria tubes are significantly reduced.
